She is also Chairperson of Board of Directors of Financial Group Kompanion, Kyrgyz Republic.  Catherine has over 25 years of experience in the areas of community banking, commercial lending, turnaround management, change management, and leadership development. Prior to arriving in Kyrgyzstan in the summer of 2003, Catherine was Mercy Corps' Country Director in Kazakhstan. Earlier in her career, Catherine held numerous leadership positions in commercial lending, portfolio management, finance, and taxation.</span><br />

Currently, Jim is also Senior Technical Advisor for XacBank in Mongolia, a significant Mercy Corps investment. Prior to joining Mercy Corps, Jim was a Regional Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector development arm of the World Bank, in Central Asia and Southeast Asia. He was later Country Manager, Vietnam, for IFC's SME Technical Assistance project, the Mekong Project Development Facility (MPDF).</span></div>
